Alan has a respected reputation as a trial and appellate lawyer. His clients benefit from his 25-plus years' experience in all aspects of dispute resolution, trials, appeals, mediation and arbitration in the state and federal courts.
Alan has proven success assisting clients in enforcing insurance coverage issues of all kinds, including class actions.

He has been admitted to courts outside of California on a pro hac vice basis in the West and Midwest at the request of clients. Alan is regularly called upon to serve as an arbitrator and expert witness.
Prior to founding Freisleben Law Group, Alan established and led the insurance practice in the Orange County office of a major multi-national law firm. He has earned the “AV” rating published by the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, the highest available, and has been designated a “Super Lawyer” for a number of years.
Service to the Profession
Alan is the co-author of Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations Deskbook and has spoken extensively on insurance claims disputes. He has also been an expert witness for cases involving insurance law and practice and attorney's fees.
He is former co-chair and chair of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society’s Southern California steering committee and has been elected to membership in the International Association of Defense Counsel.
Alan is the former Vice Chair of the Water Advisory Commission in San Juan Capistrano. He has also been an active member of the Parents Council and member of the board of the Admissions Network at Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, Pa., from which his two daughters graduated.
In his Spare Time
Aside from being with his family, Alan enjoys fly-fishing, hiking with his dogs, volunteering on trail crews for the State Parks Foundation, landscaping and the outdoors. He is a native of Burbank.
